Pensioner Mugged whilst using cash point in Alton

Officers from Hampshire Police have released a CCTV image of two teenagers they would like to speak to after a 75 year-old woman had her handbag taken from her in Alton town centre.

The victim had withdrawn cash from the TSB cashpoint before walking into Balers alley off the High Street at 5:25pm on Tuesday, March 22.

She reported that two teenage boys wearing hooded tops grabbed her black leather handbag, which contained £50 in cash and a pink mobile phone. The victim was pushed to the floor and the two boys ran off towards the nearby car park with the bag. The victim was left shaken, but wasn’t hurt.

The victim described the boys as around 14-15 years-old, slim, and both were around 5ft 2ins tall. One of the boys was wearing a beige hooded top, the other was wearing a grey top with a hood.
