Lorry Driver released on Bail after Motorcyclist dies in Stockbridge


As previously reported Police officers  were called last night (April 13) to a three-vehicle fatal road traffic collision on Stockbridge Road in Leckford.

Shortly after 5:15pm a lorry was involved in a collision with two motorbikes at the entrance to the golf club. Sadly one of the motorcyclists, a 63 year-old man from Southampton died of his injuries. The other motorcyclist has been taken to Southampton General Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The lorry driver, a 57 year-old man from Tidworth in Wiltshire was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving as part of this investigation and has been bailed until June 8 pending further enquiries.
