An Investigation is underway following a vicious attack at a petrol station on Bristol Street.

Detectives have launched an investigation following a vicious attack at the Gulf Service Station on Bristol Street at around 4.20am on Saturday 9th April.

CCTV footage, which has been released anonymously, shows a man, aged 25, being assaulted by a group of men, who chased him across the forecourt and then punched and kicked him when he fell. The man needed medical treatment for his injuries which were not believed to be serious.

Two men, aged 19 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of assault and Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Police, said: “Two men have been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries and we are yet to trace a further two men who we believe were involved in the attack.

Police believe that someone will know the men and would appeal for them to come forward.

Our enquiries continue and we would ask the men in the footage to do the right thing and hand themselves in; it is only a matter of time before we come knocking at your door.

The footage is extremely distressing to watch but fortunately the victim continues to recover from his injuries.”
