A man facing an attempted murder charge has appeared before the city magistrates court in Portsmouth this morning.
Portsea man 28 year old James Hemming of Cross Street appeared wearing a grey track suit.
The man stood handcuff man to prison guard briefly stood to confirmed his name and date of birth when asked by magistrates during the two minute hearing. Hemming nodded when magistrates remanded his case to be heard at the Portsmouth Crown Court at the end of the month.
No application for bail was made by solicitors acting on behalf of Hemming.
The court heard brief details on unnamed victim injuries which consist of two fractures to the her skull and a traumatic brain injury. She has been unable to communicate with people.
The charge comes after a 17-year-old girl who still in hospital with life-changing injuries was an attack in Shearer Road, Fratton, on April 11 with a hammer.
