Friends of a man who has been found in a property in Ryde have this morning paid tribute to a wonderful devoting father who has been taken away too soon. Many are still coming to terms with the death of the popular man. A 53-year-old woman remains in custody on suspicion of the death of the middle-aged father. The man was found by armed Police and Paramedics after they rushed to the property on East Hill Road in Ryde yards from St Mary's Catholic School just after 4pm on Monday.
Friends and family have paid tribute to Jolyon Wray, many have changed their social media profile pictures to him as a show of paying respect the man. Many are still coming to terms with the death of Jo.
The murder investigation continues this morning as detectives and forensic specialists work to piece together the events of yesterday afternoon. Police have stood guard at the property throughout the night and officers from Hampshire Police Major Crime have taken over the investigation. Officers have erected white examination tents to cover the rear of the basement flat where the murder took place. Police are still questioning the woman and have until 4pm this afternoon.
