Overturned Minibus Closes Three Lanes Of The M27 Westbound Carriageway


An overturned minibus has closed three lanes of the M27 near Fareham this evening. Officer from Hampshire Road Policing and the Highways England closed three lanes of the four lane stretch near Junction 11 just before 11pm this evening (Wednesday). Police closed the westbound carriageway just before 11pm on Wednesday evening after the blue Mercedes Sprinter conversion rolled over blocking three lane.

Fire crews and an officer from Fareham attended the incident no one was freed by the fire crews but they made the scene safe, by disconnecting a LPG gas bottle used was used for cooking. It isn’t thought the injuries of the persons in involved are serious by where checked Paramedics from South Central ambulance service.
Specialists from Boarhunt were called in to assist with the recovery and the clear up operation. The three lanes near the on slip of the M27 near Fareham are likely to remain closed for a whilst the clean operation continues.The M27 Closure was removed just after midnight
