Stars of the silver screen were spotted in Southsea today.
Hollywood star and author, Joan Collins and Pauline Collins of Shirley Valentine fame, were in the area filming for “The Time of their Lives”, a Thelma and Louise style story about two women who find friendship through an unforgettable journey.
They spent most of the day filming in the Queen’s Hotel ballroom which was out of bounds to guests for the duration.
More filming took place along Southsea seafront where it is believed a stunt double of Pauline Collins jumped into the sea to rescue a child as part of the plot. Further filming was carried out at the Royal Marine Barracks.
The film is being directed by Roger Goldby who has Call the Midwife, Waterloo Road and The Durrells amongst his credentials.
Ms Collins told UK News in Pictures, “It’s lovely being in Portsmouth. It’s just a shame about the wretched weather.”
