The incident took place in Village Way, Yateley  shortly before 6.30pm on Monday, August 1.

The 19-year-old female victim was assaulted by a woman described as being around the same age.

The 53-year-old male victim tried to intervene and was attacked by three male teenagers described as being aged around 15 or 16 years of age.

The 19-year-old woman sustained cuts and bruises and a large lump to her head. The 53-year-old man also sustained cuts and bruises and suspected broken ribs.

An investigation has begun into what took place.

PC Karl Odgers said: “These assaults took place next to a parade of shops on a busy road. We are appealing for anyone who saw what happened to come forward and help our investigation.”
