Hampshire Police have confirmed that they are investigating a suspicious incident that took place at lunchtime on Thursday, September 29, in Baughurst near to Tadley.

An 11-year-old boy was walking along Brimpton Road close to the Hurst Leisure Centre shortly before 1pm, when he was approached by an older model, blue coloured vehicle with scratches down the passenger side. This was possibly a Vauxhall Zafira.

The driver, a woman he did not know, sounded her horn a number of times, waved the boy over and offered him a lift home. He declined and walked on. The woman did not make any physical contact with the boy and drove off.

The boy described the woman as:
• White
• She had pale skin and wrinkles.
• Possibly aged in her 60’s or 70’s
• Medium build.
• She was wearing a black hat, with grey hair in a bun with net underneath.
• She was wearing glasses.
• She was wearing a white or grey coloured dress with sleeves that came most of the way down the arm.

Officers in the Northern Investigations team are working to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
