Police and Highways England closed one lane on the M27 Westbound in the early hours of Saturday morning(7th January) after a car skidded and lost control.
The private plated 50K dark blue Porsche Boxster Sport span out and lost control careering across three lane before ploughing into the embankment of the carriageway. Police closed the road whilst recovery of the mangled wreck took place.
It is understood that the driver escaped without serious injuries as a result of the crash. The vehicle that is a total write off was taken away on a back of a recovery truck.
Police issue warning over hazardous driving conditions as more rain is expected to lash the Southcoast. In a message to motorists this morning, officers from Hampshire Roads Police Group said : “Drive safely and allow extra time to get to aboutthis morning, road and weather conditions are poor.”
The Police added : “The wet weather is set to continue. Plan extra time for your journey and think about your speed.”
