Three people have died following a serious incident involving multiple people in Penn,near Birmingham West Midlands. Three Air ambulance and armed Police officers have been sent to the scene. Officers have locked down a number of roads on the housing estate on Leasowes Drive. Police have since sadly confirmed that a woman in her 30's died at the scene after stabbing. A male suspect was pronounced dead a short time later. A third person had been rushed to hospital but has since also been confirmed as dead. Officers use stun grenades as they storm a block of flats following reports of a domestic disturbance. West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Leasowes Drive in the Penn area at 9.46am today (Wednesday).
The Midlands Air Ambulances from Cosford, Strensham and Staffordshire were all sent to the scene along with three land ambulances, three paramedic officers and the West Midlands Care Team Doctor.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “A man and woman estimated to be in their 30s had suffered very serious stab wounds. Sadly, despite best efforts by ambulance staff, it was not possible to save either of them and they were confirmed dead at scene.
“Another woman was taken on blue lights to the major trauma centre at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham with potentially life threatening stab wounds.
“A police officer who was sent to the scene suffered a minor injury. He was assessed by ambulance staff and was discharged after treatment.”
