Hope Memorial Church held a special service for the newborn baby, named Baby M by police officers, found in a Hampshire park earlier this week.

Hampshire Police have confirmed that newborn Baby M, found dead in Manor Park was a girl.
The force says they have named her ‘Baby M’, after she was discovered in the bushes in Manor Park in Church Hill in the month of May. It says they are not able to confirm any further details at this stage.
Crowds gathered just inside Manor Park, near one of the entrances.

Dave Shepherd from Hope Pentecostal Community Church led the service for Baby M – starting off with the hymn “Amazing Grace.” Flowers, candles, a teddy bear and a poignant note saying “Rest in Peace Baby M” were left at the base of a tree – after bouquets were left outside the gates yesterday.
Hampshire Constabulary have launched appeals on social media for the mother to come foward, saying it is concerned for her welfare, “We’re still concerned for the welfare of Baby M’s mother, who may need urgent medical attention. We would urge her to call 101 or to go a hospital.
