Man hunt launched for Gosport Rapist

Officers have launched a manhunt for a sex attacker after a local woman was raped in Gosport town centre at the weekend.

The victim was returning home from a night out with her friend in the early hours of Sunday morning when they became separated.

She was attacked somewhere between 3am and 5.30am in one of the alleyways running off of Gosport High Street.

The man is described as having short, blonde hair with a parting.

Detectives investigating the sexual assault are asking anyone who thinks they may have seen the victim or attacker around this time, or noticed anything unusual, to contact them immediately.
