A pub landlord has slammed a ‘disgusting theft’ after a charity box was stolen from his bar. Andy Lily staff where serving behind the bar at the Park Tavern in Portsmouth when the vile theft happen,
The pub owners have now released CCTV footage after reporting the incident to the police.
Andy Lily the manager of the pub said staff were serving behind the bar when the woman came into the pub asking for a drink of water. When staff turned there backs the woman cut the string on the box and ran off.

Andy admits that they didn’t realise the box was missing until a this morning when another customer asked if they could but their change in the tin.
Mr Lilly checked the CCTV and discovered the sick theft and has now released the CCTV footage after reporting the incident to police.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm on Thursday evening, October 28.
The video has now been viewed more than 80,000 times after being posted to social media site with many condemning the theft, Many people commented and shared photos on social media to try and identify the suspect.
Andy said “We’re just angry that we didn’t see it – but if you’re not looking out for it, these things can happen.
“But it’s disgusting that this has happened because the money goes towards helping people in need.”
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said: “We were called about the theft took place on last night Thursday”.
“A charity box belonging to Poppy Appeal charity was taken. It is not known how much money was in the box.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Hampshire Police on 101.”
