Officers searching for a missing teenager from Blandford are appealing for help from members of the public to find her.
Shannon Smith, aged 17, left her home in Alner Road some time between 3.30am and 9am yesterday morning, and police now believe she caught a train to Portsmouth, arriving at 7.58pm.
She is described as vulnerable and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for her.
Shannon is white, around five feet six inches tall, of slim build and with long, straight mousey brown hair. It is believed she was wearing a black leather jacket, T-shirt and leggings.
Chief Inspector Rob Chalkley, of Dorset Police, said, “We are continuing to make enquiries in an attempt to locate Shannon and have conducted a number of searches in the Blandford area.
“I would urge any members of the public who recognise her from the photo or description given, or who have any information as to her whereabouts to please contact police immediately.
“I would also urge Shannon if she sees this appeal to please get in touch with us or your family as we all want to ensure you are safe and well.”
