Two Men remains in a serious condition following a collision between two vehicle in the early hours of Monday morning.
Emergency services called to the two vehicle Road Traffic Collision on Red Lane in Lightwater.
Officers from Surrey Roads Policing, Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECA) and Fire crews from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service where called shortly after 12.45 Monday morning (November 13th).
Roads Policing officers put in a hard road closure on B311 Red Lane The road was closed in both directions for nearly seven hours for fire crews to free those trapped and for accident and Collision scene investigation work.
Fire Crews stationed at Camberley and Woking attended and used specialist cutting equipment to carry out a roof removal of Silver VW Golf that had been on collision with a second vehicle head on that had left the road and came to rest in a verge. The roof of the vehicle was removed to free a number of persons who were trapped in the vehicle following a collision.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said :Two people have been seriously injured following a collision in Lightwater in the early hours today (13 November).
The head-on collision, involving two silver Volkswagen Golfs, took place in Red Road around 12.30am.
Both drivers were left seriously injured as a result of the collision, with one of them being taken to St George’s Hospital in Tooting and the other being taken to Frimley Park Hospital.
The road was closed in both directions while emergency services, including fire and ambulance crews, dealt with the incident.
