“We are considering a number of different hypotheses as to how this man came to lying in the street so badly injured – and it is likely that there are people out there who have information that could help our enquiry. ”If you were around the area of Sherwood Way or Horton Lane in Epsom between midnight and 5:30am this morning, and saw or heard anything that may help our investigation, I want to hear from you – call Surrey Police on 101 quoting reference 45170131251. ”If you prefer, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
