Two Teenagers Charged with Murder of Michael Jonas following fatal stabbing in Betts Park

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command have charged two youths with the murder of 17-year-old Michael Jonas in Bromley.

A 17-year-old teenager and a 16-year-old teenager will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 9 November.

Michael was stabbed at around 19:20hrs on 2 November in Betts Park, Penge.

A post-mortem examination the following day at the Princess Royal University Hospital confirmed the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest and haemorrhage.
