Redlands Lane in Fareham Closed following Serious Collision after Pedestrian is struck by a car

Officers from Havant based Roads Policing unit of Hampshire Police have this evening put in a hard road closure on Redlands Lane following a serious Collision. A number of emergency services have been called to the scene after a number of calls were made just after 5pm on Sunday evening. Officers are asking drivers to avoid the area whilst they deal with the incident. The collision took place near the parade of shops. A number of Specialist collision scene investigators have been called to the scene. It is understood that a Pedestrian has been hit by a car. Their injuries are thought to be life changing. An ambulance and paramedics from South Central amublance service have also been called to the scene. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air ambulance has also been called to assist
The road closure is from the junction of Wallisdean Avenue and at its junction with Avenue Road. These closures are likely to last for some time so please avoid the area if at all possible.
