Ockham,Surrey Friday 3rd February 2017 The A3 Southbound has been Closed by Police following Horror Hit and Run Crash involving Two Vehicles. Drivers have been trapped on the A3 Southbound since just before 10pm on Friday evening following the two vehicle Collision.
Surrey Fire and Rescue service sent a number of resources along with South East Coast Ambulance service to the scene. Fire Crews used specialist cutting equipment to free one person who is described as having serious injuries. The Road remain closed to vehicle from the A3 and the M25 whilst Collision scene investigators from Surrey Police carry out accident investigation work. It is understood that the road is likely to be closed until the early hours of the morning.
In aS tatment Surrey Police Said ” are appealing for the public’s help to trace the driver of a car that failed to stop at the scene of a collision yesterday evening.
At around 9.10pm (2 February) a white Nissan sports car was travelling southbound on the A3 at Wisley when it was involved in a collision with the central reservation.
The passenger of the car sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Fire service were also in attendance.
The driver of the car fled the scene on foot and now police need to find him. The National Police Air Service assisted with the search but we are yet to locate him.
The A3 was closed for some time during the night but all lanes are now open.
