Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended a three vehicle crash on the A21 coastbound between Bewl and Flimwell, just before 6.15pm. There were two walking wounded and two people were believed to be trapped in vehicles. However, after assessment by South East Coast Ambulance Service a woman was walked out of one of the cars. A further casualty, a man thought to be in his late 30’s was cut free from a car by firefighters using hydraulic cutting gear and passed into the care of the Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance. Two fire engines from East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and the Police were also at the scene. It is believed that the A21 is likely to remain closed for some time while a crash investigation takes place. Kent Fire and Rescue Service left the scene close just before 8pm.
