Andover Fire isn’t under control sprinkler system failed and fire crew are unable to isolate robots.
Members of the public are still asked to avoid the area in Walworth Business Park and a 1.5km exclusion zone has been put in place as fire crews from Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset, Hertfordshire,Kent, Royal Berkshire and Oxfordshire continue to try and contain the blaze.
Despite an earlier tweet from the service the fire has taken hold again It is understood that fire crews were pulled out after a number of robots caught alight. Crews are being hampered by not being able to gain access to the floors within the building:
Local hotels have taken advance by increasing their prices: The Premier Inn has increased their room price by £100 tonight because people are being evacuated.
Emergency planners and Fire Chiefs are putting in plans to evacuate over 6,000 homes that could have been affected by the blaze.
About 200 firefighters were involved in tackling the fire which broke out at 2.44am on February 5 and was declared a major incident last night.
Four firefighters have been treated for minor smoke inhalation.
It is also understood that a number of aerial ladder appliances have been engulfed by fire.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue have just advised: An evacuation is to take place in relation to the #Ocado warehouse fire.
Properties will be evacuated within a 500-metre exclusion zone and a 1.6km stretch based on wind direction. The rest centre will be Harrow Way Community School Andover
