The jury in the trial of a man accused of murdering schoolgirl Lucy McHugh has been taken to visit the shallow woodland where she was stabbed to death. The defendant was not present during any of the locations visited. The judge warned the juniors whilst on the short coach journey to Southampton not to discuss the case and that in effect they were all still in court.

A claim has been made that Warped Nicholson, who had a secret sexual relationship with the vulnerable teenager stabbed her in cold blood attack after she revealed to him that she was pregnant.
