Police are seeking the public's help after responding to reports of an aggravated burglary in Worksop

Police are seeking the public’s help after responding to reports of an aggravated burglary in Worksop last night (Sunday 20 April 2020).

It was reported that offenders entered an address on Samian Close, at around 10.20pm, before assaulting a man and smashing windows to the property. Upon leaving the address the suspect smashed windows to a van before leaving in a car.

The victim was punched in the face and suffered a cut to his hand during the incident.

Officers are continuing with their enquiries to understand the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for any witnesses or any drivers who have recorded dashcam footage to get in touch.

Two men, aged 27 and 44, have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary in connection with the incident and remain in custody.

The 27-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis.
