Two Romford men have appeared in court over separate violent incidents, including one involving death threats in a domestic setting and another involving a serious assault.
Man Jailed for Threatening to Kill Woman in Front of Child
Christopher Keeble, 47, of Lower Bedfords Road, Romford, was sentenced to seven months in prison after admitting to threatening to kill a woman and damaging her door during a domestic incident on February 16.
According to court documents presented at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court, the threats were made in the presence of a child, adding to the seriousness of the offence.
The judge noted the disturbing nature of the incident, which took place in a private residence, and described Keeble’s actions as a “grave breach of personal safety in a domestic environment.”
Teen Faces Crown Court for Wounding With Intent
In a separate case, Marcus Dobkin, 18, of Kingsmead Avenue, Romford, admitted to a charge of wounding with intent following a violent altercation with a man on February 1.
The charge, considered one of the most serious forms of assault under UK law, typically involves deliberate and premeditated harm and can carry a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Dobkin’s case has been transferred to Snaresbrook Crown Court for sentencing, which is scheduled for June 2025. The full details of the attack and the victim’s condition have not yet been disclosed.
Both cases were heard between March 13 and March 20 at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court as part of the court’s regular weekly criminal listings.
