Commuters are facing major disruption this evening after a failure of the electric power supply halted all Thameslink trains between London St Pancras International and West Hampstead Thameslink.

In a statement issued at 7:56pm, Thameslink Railway confirmed that all lines through the area are blocked, urging passengers to seek alternative routes.

Advice for Passengers

Thameslink posted on X (formerly Twitter):

“Due to a failure of the electric supply between London St Pancras and West Hampstead Thameslink, all lines are blocked… use an alternative route and allow extra time to arrive at your destination.”

They added that journeys could be delayed by at least 45 minutes, and ticket acceptance is in place on other rail services.

Passengers are urged not to attempt to leave stranded trains, as staff are aware of all locations and working to restore movement.
