Leeds Murder Investigation: Family Release Photo of Three-Year-Old Victim

A photograph of three-year-old Hope McGrath, who tragically died in Leeds, has been released by her grieving family as police continue their murder investigation.
West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team are leading the investigation into the child’s death, which has shocked the local community.
Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson said:
“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Hope’s death. A photograph of the three-year-old has been released by her family. I would ask that people respect their privacy at this extremely difficult time.”
Mother Charged with Murder
Hope’s mother, Pippa McGrath, 47, of Austhorpe Court, Leeds, has been charged with her daughter’s murder.
She appeared before Leeds Crown Court this morning, where she was remanded in custody. She is due to appear again in court on 3 September 2025.
Police Appeal for Privacy and Support
West Yorkshire Police have urged the public and media to allow the family space to grieve as their investigation progresses. No further details about the circumstances of the incident have been released at this stage.
