Police Launch Road Rage Investigation After Street Fight in Outside Burnside School in Chingford
A road rage incident in outside the Burnside School oon Burnside Avenue, Chingford (E4), has left a man injured after a violent street altercation erupted on Wednesday evening (16th July 2025).
Metropolitan Police CID officers have launched a full investigation, and a crime scene remains in place at the junction with May Road.

Emergency services were called at around 6pm, with witnesses describing a heated dispute that escalated into a physical confrontation. The area remains cordoned off while detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s CID unit examine the scene, located just yards from a recent murder investigation that rocked the Chingford community.
“Road Rage-Related Altercation”
Police sources confirmed they are treating the incident as a road rage-related assault. Two men are believed to have been involved in the confrontation, and both sustained injuries during the fight.

“We are investigating a suspected road rage incident in Burnside Avenue, E4, following reports of two males engaged in a violent altercation. A crime scene has been established and our investigation is ongoing.”
CID and Emergency Services Involved
Plain-clothed officers are also reported to be on scene gathering forensic evidence. Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called to assess the injured individuals, although details of their condition have not yet been confirmed.
