A Dartford man has been locked up for life after brutally stabbing a woman to death while she slept—and then sexually abusing her body.
Brutal Attack Caught Him Out
Ernestas Juska, 21, attacked the victim with a large kitchen knife, inflicting catastrophic stab wounds. The victim, aged 39, was found dead in bed at his home on Henderson Drive.
Juska’s chilling confession came after he apparently approached a member of the public in Wordsworth Way on the morning of August 17, 2024, urging them to call the police as he had just killed someone. Officers quickly detained him at a nearby bus stop before he led them to the crime scene.
Disturbed Killer’s Dark Motive
In custody, Juska admitted the victim was a family friend staying overnight. He said he killed her to “lash out” and deliberately chose someone not close to him. Under the influence of alcohol and cocaine, he selected a knife around 6.40am and struck while the victim slept.
He later sexually abused the corpse and was charged with murder and a sexual offence against a deceased female.
Judge Slams ‘Deeply Disturbed’ Murderer
At Maidstone Crown Court, Juska pleaded guilty. On November 28, 2025, he was sentenced to life with a minimum term of 24 years and seven months before parole consideration.
Judge Justice Dexter Dias KC: “Juska is a deeply disturbed individual responsible for an extreme explosion of sexual and sadistic conduct. There may never be a time when it is safe to release you.”
Detective Sergeant Max Gregory described the attack as “shocking and senseless brutality.” He added, “Juska targeted a helpless victim as she slept and inflicted multiple injuries during a sustained and savage attack. His depravity after her death defies belief. This has devastated a family and robbed the community of a much-loved woman.”
