Horror Smash at Safety Drive Roundabout

A 17-year-old motorcyclist has died in a deadly collision with a truck at Poole’s busy Safety Drive roundabout. The crash happened just after 5pm on Friday, 28 November 2025, Dorset Police confirmed.

The silver motorcycle smashed into a DAF truck. Emergency teams rushed to the scene but the teenage rider from North Dorset was pronounced dead there and then. The truck driver walked away unscathed. The boy’s devastated family have been informed, and the coroner is now involved.

Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses

Road closures remain in place as investigators comb the crash site. Sergeant Richard Stroud of the Roads Policing team said:

“Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 17-year-old motorcyclist very sadly died. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and loved ones at this heartbreaking time.” “We are investigating the full circumstances of the crash and urge anyone who saw what happened or who was in the area with dashcam footage to contact us immediately.”
