Racial Assault at Tottenham Supermarket – Police Want to Talk to This Woman
Detectives have released a photo of a woman linked to a shocking racially-aggravated assault and attempted robbery at a Tottenham supermarket.
Attack Sparks Chaos at Tottenham Hale Retail Park
The incident happened just after 8pm on Tuesday, 11 August. A woman in her 20s was queuing at the till when she was physically attacked and shouted at with racial abuse. The suspect then tried to snatch the victim’s phone, claiming it was hers.
- The victim suffered minor injuries.
- She was forced to call the police during the attack.
- Security staff stepped in and returned the phone.
- The suspect fled the scene on a bike.
Who Is the Woman on the Bike?
Police describe the woman as around 5ft 5ins tall, with brown hair. She was wearing a baby blue mini floral dress and a blue face mask at the time.
“We take all allegations of racism and assault very seriously,” said Detective Constable Natalie Starkey. “We want to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack or knows the woman in the image.”
