A Special Police Constable has been charged with rape

Daniel Carson, a Special Constable with GMP’s Rochdale division, has been charged with rape in connection with an incident that occurred in December 2019.
Carson is scheduled to appear in Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on August 1, 2022. He has been relieved of duty.
Misconduct proceedings will resume once criminal proceedings are completed.
