A teenager has been stabbed in an attack in Cowes on the Isle of Wight in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Emergency services rushed to the area after neighbours alerted Police to the teenager having been stabbed and had blood pouring from his wound.
The victim, in his late teens, was found suffering from stab wounds and taken to hospital after being treated by Paramedics at the scene.
Several Police units are still in attendance following the attack. The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service have conveyed one patient to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport, however, the condition of the patient is currently unknown.
Police are present at the hospital it’s understood. A large area has been secured by officers as a probe into the incident has been launched. Large parts of Love Lane, Elm Grove and part of Windmill Close in Cowes remain awash with a sea of blue and white police tape and remain on lockdown and under police guard.
Residents have been asked to remain in their properties whilst police carry out a search along the road. A Police van remains in the location of were the teen was found. A large number of vehicle and Police officer and detectives remain on the road.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary says detectives are in the early stages of their investigation, however, enquiries are being carried out.
