Emergency Services where called to the M3 Nortbound this evening (Saturday) following a road traffic collision. A single vehicle had crashed on the motorway near Basingstoke.
Police and Paramedics attended after the grey car had left the carriageway and careered into the grass verge at speed near to Junction 7 of the M3.

Police and Highways England closed one lane of the M3 whilst the driver was checked by Paramedics at the scene. The driver was taken to hospital and treat for their injuries. Fear were raised that the driver was trapped in their vehicle after witnesses described seeing the vehicle ploughed into the bank at speed. Collision scene investigation officers attended the scene at carried out accident investigation work. The scene was cleared shortly after 8.30 on Saturday evening. The injuries of the driver are not currently known.
