Pauncefoot Hill has been closed Northbound due to Road traffic at the A27 Romsey Bypass Road.
Two fire crews from Hampshire fire and rescue service stationed Romsey and Eastleigh have been called just after lunchtime today assist with the incident.
A VW van had collided with a tree and had left the carriageway.
Fire fighters using specialist equipment to freed a 54 year old man from the vehicle. The extent of the man’s injuries is unknown but it is believed he was conscious and breathing when he was freed from the wreckage of the vehicle. The man has been left in the care of South Central Ambulance service who have taken the man to Southampton General hospital.
