Police have shut the Eastbound carriage way between Junction 8 and Junction 9 of the M27 this lunchtime .
Fire crews from Eastleigh, Hightown and Fareham were called just before 1pm today to the incident and made the area safe.

It is believed that the driver of the amusement trailer escaped without injury after the vehicle flipped and jackknife on the M27. Two lanes of the m27 are blocked with deberary from the load.

All three lanes have been closed and traffic is running on the hard shoulder whilst recovery takes place. It has been reported that jams are as far back as the M3/M27 interchange.
