Lockdown latest
From today, it is mandatory for certain businesses to have a system to collect NHS Test and Trace data, and keep this for 21 days. For more details, please see the GOV.UK website.
Businesses across England and Wales, like pubs, restaurants, hairdressers and cinemas, are being urged to ensure they have NHS QR code posters visible on entry so customers who have downloaded the new NHS COVID-19 app can use their smartphones to easily check-in. The move comes ahead of a national launch of the NHS COVID-19 app across England and Wales on Thursday 24 September. Meeting others safely
New restrictions were introduced on Monday (14 September), meaning that when meeting friends and family you do not live with (or have formed a support bubble with) you must not meet in a group of more than 6, indoors or outdoors. Hand, face, space
Government continues to remind everyone:
- HANDS – Wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds
- FACE – Wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet
- SPACE – Stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place.
Coronavirus testing
The message from the NHS is if you have coronavirus symptoms, get a test as soon as possible. The NHS is also stressing, only get a test if you have coronavirus symptoms or have been asked to get tested. KSAS
Kent County Council is letting people know that the Kent Support & Assistance Service (KSAS) can support those struggling to afford food, energy, school clothing or household items over the coming months due to the pandemic. For more information, please see www.kent.gov.uk/ksas
