The incident took place on the A228 Rochester Road at around 2.20pm on Tuesday 18 January 2022.
A blue Volkswagen Tiguan was travelling south in the direction of Halling when it was involved in a collision with a grey Honda Jazz at the junction with Station Road.
Kent Police attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, where the driver and passenger of the Honda were taken to hospital. Since the incident, the passenger, a woman in her 70s, has died as a result of her injuries.
Officers from Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are investigating and would like to speak to anyone who witnessed what happened or was travelling in the area at the time of the incident.
