Patrolling police officers have arrested a man after he was alleged to have assaulted a woman in Gravesend

Patrolling police officers have arrested a man after he was alleged to have assaulted a woman in Gravesend

 

The officers were driving along Milton Road at around 8.50pm on Monday 28 February 2022 when a man was reported to have been seen chasing a woman near Berkley Road.

 

He was alleged to have been seen pushing the woman from behind, causing her to fall, before punching her in her head several times. The woman did not require hospital treatment.

 

The officers exited their vehicle and intervened and the man in his 40s from Gravesend, was arrested on suspicion of assault.

 

He has since been released on bail until 22 March pending further enquiries.
