police issue appeal after man dies after collision in southampton hospital car park

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in the car park of a Southampton hospital. An 84-year-old man from Southampton was in collision with a Vauxhall Zafira in the car park of Western Community Hospital, Millbrook, at 12.50pm on January 13.

The injured man was taken to Southampton General Hospital but sadly died three weeks later in hospital.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and has been helping officers with their investigation.
Police Constable Brendan Moseley, from Totton Roads Policing Unit, said: “Following the sad death of this elderly man we are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the people who rushed to the aid of the gentleman when the collision happened.”
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call PC Moseley on 101, quoting Operation Rooftop, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
