Around 11.20 p.m. on Saturday, July 31 two men armed with a weapon entered the Woolton Conservative Club on Belle Vale Road and demanded money.
Before driving away in the stolen vehicle, a black Darcia Stepway, the suspects took money, three bottles of alcohol, and a set of car keys.
No one was hurt in the incident.
Investigations are ongoing, including the review of CCTV footage.
“This was a very distressing incident for the people who were working that night,” Detective Inspector Chris Saidi said.
“I urge anyone who was near the club on Belle Vale Road and noticed anything suspicious on Saturday around 11 p.m. to please contact us so we can bring the offenders to justice.”
I’m also asking drivers and residents with CCTV and dashcams to check their footage for evidence of the two suspects in the area.
“Business burglaries are not a victimless crime because they have a significant impact on the community in a variety of ways.” We are determined to track down the perpetrator so that other businesses are not targeted in the future.”
