The M3 westbound entry slip at junction J9 near Winchester has been closed by Police and Highways England after a Red Renault Megane Hatchback with two people in it left the carriageway. The vehicle came to rest facing the wrong way toward the on slip.

Two ambulances and other emergency services where called to the scene just after 3am this morning.
A Basic Doctor also attended the scene.
One ambulance has taken one person to Southampton General Hospital. A second ambulance remains at the scene.
The entry slip remains closed and is not expect to reopen before first light. Police officers can be seen clearing debris from the scene with the support of Highways traffic officers.
The injuries to those involved is currently unknown.
