Police Officers are continuing to investigate an armed robbery at the Grande Wine Store on Palmyra Road in Gosport.

As part of their renewed appeal a CCTV image is also being released.

A member of staff reported that he had been threatened by a man who had his face covered shortly after 9:30pm on Sunday, March 27.

The victim reported that the man was carrying a weapon, which the staff member described as a handgun. No-one was hurt and £340 in cash was taken from the till before the man left the store.

The victim described the man as:

• White.
• Between 6ft and 6ft 3ins tall.
• Skinny.
• He was wearing a black padded raincoat with the hood up, dark trousers and black shoes, ski style gloves and a mask.

Investigating Officer DC Julie Way said: “I’d like to thank those people who have contacted us since our original appeal was issued.

“We are still not linking this to any other reports or incidents in the area. The premises were targeted at night when it was very wet and windy and not many people were out and about.

“We are still trying to establish if the weapon seen was a genuine handgun or an imitation firearm. Thankfully no-one was injured in this incident.

“I’d like to trace a man and a woman who used the store shortly beforehand and who may have seen what happened and anyone who may have found discarded clothing in the area”.
