Police are investigating after a man indecently exposed himself to two young girls in Southampton.

Two 11-year-old girls were in St Boniface Park, Rownhams, at 6.15pm on Thursday, September 15, when they were approached by a man who dropped his trousers.

The girls ran home and reported the incident to their parents.

The man is described as being white, aged around 30 and had shaved dark hair. He was wearing light grey tracksuit bottoms with darker grey stripes and a blue t-shirt.

No physical contact was made but neighbourhood officers have informed schools in the area about the incident and are urging residents to be vigilant.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a man matching this description in the area.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact PC Trish Attwood on 101, quoting 44160349183, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
