This knockout competition is jam-packed with entertaining information and is simple to follow for viewers at home.
Unbeatable pits players’ answers against each other in battles that test their knowledge – and, ultimately, their courage of conviction. Four opponents compete in solo and battle rounds, answering questions from a board of six rank-able answers.
They can take the safe route and earn £100 for each time their chosen answer beats another on the board. If they believe they have chosen the best answer, they can take a chance and press the Unbeatable button. They will receive £1,000 if they are correct, but nothing if they are incorrect.
After three rounds, there is only one contestant left. They’ll compete in the final, where they can double their money if they trust their own knowledge and prove they’re unbeatable.
Do they think they have the unbeatable solution? Nothing can be predicted, but Jason Manford always has a brilliant off-the-cuff joke up his sleeve.
“What’s great about Unbeatable is that you never have to look stupid on this show because the answers are already on the screen – you just have to pick the best one,” Jason says. It’s a fantastic show to work on, and this series will have people jumping up and down on their sofas and screaming at the television!”
“We’re delighted to be back with a second series of Unbeatable,” says Michael Mannes, MD of 12 Yard Productions. Jason is a brilliantly funny quiz host, and we’re confident that the audience at home will enjoy playing along.”
“Unbeatable is a great and interactive quiz show that you can sit down and play with your family or on your own from the comfort of your own home,” says Alex McLeod, Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime.
Unbeatable will premiere on BBC Two in September and then move to BBC One in the fall.
