Police have received a report of a suspicious incident in Drayton on Friday (November 18).

It is alleged that a car drove into Penarth Avenue, from Havant Road, between 5pm and 5.30pm and pulled up onto the pavement in front of two youths aged about 16-18-years-old.

The youths ran across the road; the man driving the car got out of the car and grabbed one of the youths and put him in the boot of his car, which was described as a dark-coloured, five-door hatchback.

The car drove off, heading north up Penarth Avenue.

We haven’t received a report of this incident by the other youth and so we would like to speak with him, to find out whether this was just a prank, or whether a crime has been committed.

It is believed that there would have been a lot of people in the area at this time.

DC Tom Hewitt said: “We don’t want to unduly concern members of the public regarding this alleged incident; we haven’t received a report by the victim or the other youth, no other witnesses have come forward and we don’t have any missing people in the area that would match the description of the youth.

“Our priority is to confirm the safety of the youths involved”.

If you witnessed this incident, or have any information that could help with our investigation, we’d like to hear from you.
