Coastguard Rescue Helicopter Called to the Isle of Wight

The Coastguard Rescue 104 helicopter from Lee-on-Solent has been called out to assisted with a medical evacuation this morning. The request came into to the National Coastguard operation centre in Fareham just after 2am this morning. The Crew from Lee on the Solent flew to St Mary’s Hospital in Newport Isle of Wight to evacuate a seriously ill patient. The crew transferred the sick patient with medical staff on-board the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 104 to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham.
