Emergency Services are attending a road traffic collision in Brading this evening.
Emergency crews where called to Brading High Street just after 8.30pm on Tuesday . The incident is involving two vehicles that have been in collision with each other by the Fish and Chip Shop. The road has been closed whilst the incident is being dealt with. Police requested the attendance of the Isle of Wight Fire service as it was first thought that one of the vehicles was leaking fuel. A Fire crew from Newport where sent to the scene as they had been training at Ryde Fire station in Nicholson Road. No one is thought to have been seriously injured following the collision. The vehicles are that un-driveable are being recovered by Stag Lane Recovery A spokeswoman from the Fire and Rescue Service said ” We received a call from the Police as they had reported that the vehicle was leaking fuel and there may have been a risk of fire. The spokeswoman went onto say that a one appliance from Newport is at the scene carrying out scene safety. The spokeswoman also confirmed that no persons are trapped in the vehicles.
