Opening this spring for its first full season as an Events Centre, Cowes Harbour Commission is delighted to introduce “The Sugar Store” at Shepards Wharf Marina in Cowes, Isle of Wight.

Newly refurbished and upgraded in 2015 with an industrial chic vibe combined with a nautical feel, ‘The Sugar Store’ takes advantage of a prime waterfront location with outside decking, marina pier, and stunning views over the world-class sailing waters of the Solent.

The Sugar Store Events Centre offers contemporary facilities for up to 400 people and is situated close to the Chain Ferry on Medina Road, just two minutes from Cowes High Street and within easy reach of nearby transport links to the mainland.

Jock Rafferty, Manager at Shepards Wharf, said: “The Events Centre is a great asset to our Marina and provides a new go-to events venue in central Cowes. We already have a host of events booked in for the 2016 season ranging from wedding receptions and crew suppers to charter events and club regattas, but we have room for more so do get in touch and I would be happy to show you around the facilities.”

Holding a much-coveted position on the seafront in Cowes Harbour, The Sugar Store offers the ideal venue for a regatta or championship media centre, but is equally suited to conferences and day meetings, private celebrations, workshops, exhibitions, club rallies, or even trade events and product launches.

Cowes Harbour Master, Capt. Stuart McIntosh said: “Redevelopment of The Sugar Store was carried out as part of Cowes Harbour Commission’s ongoing investment programme at Shepards Wharf Marina, which we are proud to say has become well-established as a popular place to berth with a reputation as a friendly, customer-focused marina. We envisage that The Sugar Store will be utilised predominantly for marine-related events, although the building is also expected to be a multi-use facility for the benefit of local residents and visitors alike.”
