woman rushed to hospital after being hit by train near wandsworth

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a train at Earlsfield Station near Wandsworth

Police and paramedics rushed to the station just after 9.10am this morning. Services in and out of Waterloo station in London have been disrupted and delays are being reported of up to two hours. Some Stations have laid on local buses between some station to help reduce the delays
A Spokesman from National Rail said: “Following emergency services having dealt with an incident between Wimbledon and London Waterloo all lines have now reopened.

“Delays of up to two hours can still be expected between Surbiton and London Waterloo, this is because trains and train crews are not in the correct location to start their next service.

“To get trains back to their scheduled timetables some services may need to be cancelled or run non-stop between some stations.”
